Modular Building system - Unitised building
Unitised Building (UB) is a privately held building technology group that has developed the UB System—a globally applicable, pre-fabricated construction solution for medium- and high-rise residential and hotel developments. The system rethinks conventional building delivery through off-site manufacturing, precision engineering, and a scalable panelised construction methodology.
Between 2020 and 2021, Pelican Studios collaborated closely with UB founders, architect Nonda Katsalidis and Lucas Katsalidis, to redesign and commission key components of the roll-forming machinery that underpins UB’s proprietary panelised joint system. This work included press tool design, precision machining, on-site commissioning, and the development of a modular manufacturing flow that streamlined production, increased efficiency, and supported scalable industrialised construction.
